Holistic Yoga

Meditating on the beachHolistic yoga is an ancient healing practice incorporating the use of ki-energy (vital energy) to facilitate the awareness of body, mind and breath. Holistic yoga practice combines postures from different styles of Yoga, Pilates, Chi Gong and other healing techniques to experience total well-being on the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual level. This style is suitable for people of all ages, physical ability and all levels of fitness. We introduce a variation of the poses to prevent beginner students from hurting themselves, and help more advanced students to still be challenged. The series includes warming up exercises, joint rotations, poses, stretching, breathing, relaxation, meditation and chakra balancing techniques.. These techniques are designed to release blockages, stress and tension and encourage the free flow of energy in the body. When the energy flows freely we are healthy and balanced. The flow of the class is carefully chosen according to the needs of the students attending the class. Regular practice can improve your health, increase your energy, improve your posture, flexibility, balance, circulation, concentration, breathing, awareness and confidence, strengthen your muscles, helps to sleep better, normalize blood pressure, helpful in cases of depression and panic attacks. Prevents diseases such as arthritis and osteoporosis. It will rejuvenate, revitalize and balance all systems in your body.
